Great Backyard Bird Count

The Hershey Public Library invites you to join us in the Great Backyard Bird Count! Sign up for a 15-minute time slot* on one or two days, and hang out in the Reading Garden in your woolies while you tally the birds you see. We will provide a tally sheet and guide to common birds; you do the counting. We will even upload everyone’s results to the main site!
The Great Backyard Bird Count is a international effort by The Cornell Ornithology Lab, the Audubon Society, and Birds Canada. Last year (2020), 268,274 participants from 194 countries counted 27,270,156 birds over the four-day count.
