In-Person Fern Kokedama and Macrame Hanger Workshop

May 22, 2021 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

$50

Join Knotting Tides and Terrarium Therapy at the Hershey Public Library for a fun and educational collaboration.

The art of Kokedama literally translates from “koke” meaning moss and “dama” meaning ball. Kokedama is a traditional Japanese art form where the ball of soil is covered in moss to host a plant.

During this very hands-on workshop, you will learn about ferns and the proper way to care for them along with a tutorial to create your very own macrame hanger to host your kokedama. Your experience will include the following materials to make your own unique piece: a fern, moss, soil, twine, rope, craft ring, step-by-step instruction on how to create and care for your plant, as well as how to make your own macrame hanger.

This event will be hosted outdoors and will we will be practicing appropriate social distancing protocols. If you have any special seating requests, please make note of this at *check out.

Tickets are non-refundable nor transferable. If you purchase a ticket and are unable to attend, please email Terrarium Therapy directly at events@terrariumtherapyworkshops.com to discuss options.

Pre-registration and pre-payment of $50 on *Eventbrite are required to hold your spot.

Please wear a mask or face covering. Thank you.
