Smart Gardening: When to Do What to Keep Your Yard Looking Great

March 4, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

George Weigel, gardening columnist for the Patriot-News/PennLive, will be at the Hershey Public Library to help us devise a month-to-month plan for making our garden look great all year long. It’s not enough to design and plant a good landscape because things will quickly go down the tubes unless you know what to do to keep it looking good and when to do what. This program looks at key jobs throughout the season and ties into George’s 2015 Cool Springs Press book, “Pennsylvania Month-by- Month Gardening.” George will also present some work and money-saving things not to do around the yard. Books will be sold and signed at the event. Registration for this program sponsored by the Friends of the Hershey Public Library begins February 4. Register online, or call the library at (717) 533-6555.
