Science journalist and Derry Township resident, Robert Naeye, presents a virtual program at the Hershey Public Library, The Mysterious SETI Signal from Proxima Centauri on Saturday, February 13 at 2:00 pm. On April 29, 2019, the Parkes Observatory in Australia picked up an unusual radio signal from the direction of Proxima Centauri, the nearest star to the Sun. The signal has many of the characteristics that astronomers expect from an extraterrestrial civilization and is probably radio interference from a man-made spacecraft or airplane.
